Day 24.

Day 24 – A photo of something that means a lot to you.

My kitty, Malky.

Malky is unlike any cat I have ever met.  Anyone that has had any interaction with Malky will agree, and always points it out!  She is the sweetest, most vocal, needy, goofy cat I have had the pleasure to be around.

Anytime I say, "MALKY!" I'm greeted with a "MROOOOOOOW". EVERY. TIME.

She sleeps with me.  Every night.  I sleep with my arm above my head and she nestles into the nook between my face and my arm.  I lay my face against her back and we sleep.

She is so patient with Ayla.  The poor kitty is pushed around, hair is pulled, she is sat on, drooled on, and lvoed so much by Ayla.  All the while Malky purrs lovingly.

Malky is special.  She means a lot to me.  More than that, even.  I can't leave her out of the family blog.  :)

Hello, Beautiful!
Every day she opens her eyes a little wider and watches me a little closer.  I love every minute of it!

Her third favorite thing to watch (after mommy and daddy) is her kitty, Malky.

They are best friends :)

My Cat Malky, the most jealous cat in the world.

Last night my extremely jealous and possessive cat realized that the crib and allllll the baby things inside it are not for her.

When I got out of bed this morning I walked out of my room and saw a Winnie the Pooh stuffed animal that Joseph's sister-in-law got the baby from Disneyland. I was like, huh, that's weird, that was in the crib. So I walked into the baby's room.

Every single baby item that was in the crib was strewn about the room. There were baby clothes EVERY WHERE. She had taken each piece of clothing and dragged them around the room. There is a cute tutu I bought that she snagged all over. She chewed all the baby headbands so they are no longer headbands, they are just strips of cloth with bows on them. She even pulled the baby carrier out of the crib.

As I stood there staring at the damage she calmly walked in the room, stretched, meowed LOUDLY, jumped in the crib, and layed out across it, purring contently.

It was everything I could do not to throw her at the wall. I love her very much, she is an extremely funny kitty, but she is so possessive of me! I'm thinking she won't do very well with the baby. She's probably not going to like that I will be holding something else all the time and not her. She's probably not going to be able to sleep on my head anymore either! We'll see how it goes....

Here are some funny pictures of Malky-

Malky in the bathroom sink, one of her choice relaxtion spots.

Malky in the bedroom.
Malky and me sleeping.
Our usual sleep position.
And Again.
Another position she likes.
Malky in the car. She LOVES riding in the car and sitting in the back window.

Another strange place she will sit forever...
Caught her!

She is such a funny kitty.

Update

WE FINALLY GOT AN APARTMENT!!

It is a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom basement apartment in South Provo. I wish that the ad was still online so I could steal the pictures and post them on here, but he took it down. It's a cute little place with new carpet and flooring throughout, new paint, and new windows. I'm really excited about it! We'll be able to move in on June 14th.

Life has been pretty routine. Just working and walking and riding the bus all day, every day!

My cat has learned that if she leaps at me I will catch her so I now have to be on constant watch for a cat flying towards my chest. She loves to be carried around, I have created a monster. I have always wanted a cat that is more like a dog, constantly playing and following you and wanting attention. But now that I have it I wish I had one that would just lay on the bed by itself every once in a while. I mean HONESTLY, she follows me everywhere! (if you haven't noticed from the pictures I post where she is always present.) My mom sent Joseph and I a really cute baby carrier, which I will be giving to Joseph for Father's day. Don't worry, he doesn't read this blog so the surprise won't be ruined. I decided to open it up and try it out, with my cat Malky as the substitute baby, and she loved it. She did not want to get out. I don't know what I was thinking. Any way for her to be carried around she is going to love. Here's a picture of her in the carrier:

And here's a picture of how she sleeps with me at night. Alllll night. She insists on being as close to my face as I will let her be and there is nothing I can do to make her stay away.

She's a cute kitty. That's about all I have to say for now. I'm sure I'll have plenty to talk about once Joseph gets home!

Week 17...

Week 17

How Big is the Baby at 17 Weeks Pregnant?

Your baby is anywhere from 4.4 to 4.8 inches by pregnancy week 17 and weighs almost 3 ½ ounces! If you were to hold your baby at 17 weeks pregnant, she would fit snuggly in the palm of your hand. Your baby is about the size of a small pomegranate by pregnancy 17 weeks.

Your Baby's Growth and DevelopmentYour baby during week 17 is now very mobile, gleefully moving his joints here, there and everywhere and will continue to do so as you continue your pregnancy week by week. The cartilage making up the skeleton in your baby's body is starting to transform into bone. At pregnancy 17 weeks time your baby should be hearing things. Your baby will start putting on some layers of fat in the weeks to come, though at this point in time your baby is made up of primarily water.

You may be feeling your baby move intermittently after pregnancy week 17, though as your pregnancy progresses you will likely start feeling your baby move more and more.
There are many natural health practitioners that believe in the power of touch. Though your little one is still very small, your touch may do much to help him feel safe and warm inside the womb. If you haven't started already, you might consider rubbing your 'pooch' in calming circular motions. This will not only help comfort your little one, but will help initiate the bonding process with you and your newborn baby throughout your pregnancy and after.
Other women find comfort when playing music to their unborn children. There is evidence suggesting that your baby responds to music even while in the womb. Thus, there is no harm in playing some calm and engaging music to your baby even while they are in the womb.

Here's a picture of me in Joseph's PBR shirt... yes a beer shirt. My brother Brandon got it for Joseph, I want to say for Christmas? I'm not sure why... but I took a picture of my pregnant self in it to show Joseph how classy I am :) (Truthfully its one of my most comfortable t-shirts to sleep in because its one of the few big tshirts that I own):

And here is a picture of me (after my haircut) with my kitty Malky:

Here are some pictures of my baby belly taken last night:

Of course I couldn't keep my cat out of the picture. She has to be everywhere that I am ALL THE TIME. :)
